Hello Classmates! Aug. 11, 2014

Hi everyone,

This is our new class blog.  At our 55th class reunion held on Aug. 9th, we decided we needed somewhere online where we could all post and read about what is happening to us.   So I've put together this blog.  It is still in the beginning stages. I am inviting everyone I have an e-mail for to participate, so please do.  You can add, change or whatever you'd like PLUS we want you to tell us news of your life.  You should be getting an invitation to join if I get things figured out.  ;-)   In the beginning, at least join, so we know you are able to access this site when you want to.

The reunion was so good.  We missed those of you who were not able to be there.  You should be getting a copy of the book Garth put together for each of us.  He spent a LOT of time and work and miles gathering up information and typing it then adding photos and the cute additions to our pages.  Thanks so much, Garth. The book is a treasure.  Ross did a great job organizing and putting together the reunion.  We appreciate you so much, Ross.  (For those who don't know, Ross brought his sweet new wife to the reunion with him.   They've been married 4 months.  We are so happy for them.)

We determined that we will have a more formal reunion every 5 years - similar to the ones we've had in the past.  In addition, every year those who can will meet at a restaurant for a mini class reunion.   RaNae will list on here the date and place to meet for that each year.

It was approved by the class that we will continue to remember those class members who pass away with flowers from the 'Class of '59'.   Those who would like to contribute can send donations to Gene who is in charge of this for the next 5 years.  His address is 193 S. Wildflower Circle  Alpine, UT 84004. Thanks, Gene.

I cannot express enough the happiness I felt Saturday at the  reunion.  It was as if many of a special 'family' of mine had gathered together for a while.  There was such a good spirit there as everyone stood or sat together and visited.  The middle school cafeteria was a perfect place to meet.  The food was good.  RaNae presented part of the 100th year program for North Summit she had recorded for us.  She and others have done so much work to put together the 100 year celebration.  Thanks to you for making that available for us to see, RaNae.
